When Night Falls

Image
When night falls, the world turns to shade, In the gentle embrace of darkness, we're laid. Stars twinkle above in the midnight sky, As the moon's silver beams bid the sun goodbye. The city lights shimmer like diamonds afar, Guiding lost souls like a celestial star. The secrets of day, now whispered in dreams, In the velvet night, nothing's quite as it seems. Creatures of darkness begin to emerge, Owls hoot, and crickets sing their dirge. The world slows down, finds a peaceful reprieve, In the stillness of night, we're free to believe. As the night deepens, our thoughts take flight, In the canvas of dreams, we paint with delight. When night falls, it's a magical trance, A dance with the cosmos, a sweet, silent romance.

What Every Poet Needs

Image
Ink and quill, or keyboard's gentle hum,  Imagination's fire, where words become, The tapestry of thoughts, woven in art,  Here's what every poet needs, from the heart. A muse, elusive, a spark to ignite,  To dance through the darkness, to bring forth the light.  Silent contemplation, a moment's reprieve, In solitude's embrace, the soul can believe. A poet needs nature, its beauty untamed,  A wellspring of inspiration, from whence they are named. The seasons, the landscapes, the moon and the trees, They whisper their secrets to poets, with ease. A heart that feels deeply, both joy and despair,  To capture life's essence, its sweet, tender care.  For emotions, the raw and the real, are the source,  Of verses that resonate, with powerful force. A mentor, a guide, or a book that inspires,  To learn from the greats, as ambition aspires.  To grow and to evolve, through the words of the wise,  Is a gift every poet, in their journey...

This thing called Love

Image
This thing called love, it's hard to explain A feeling that causes us both joy and pain It's a magnet that draws us near A force that sometimes fuels our fear It starts with a spark, a glimmer of hope A chance encounter that helps us to cope With the chaos of life, the stress and strife This thing called love, it's the meaning of life It lifts us up, it makes us soar It opens our hearts, it breaks down walls It can be messy, it can be tough But it's always worth it, this thing called love It's a dance we do, a constant give and take The balance of compromise that we must make It's the moments we share, the memories we make It's the promise we keep, the vow we take This thing called love, it's what makes us whole It's the foundation of the human soul It's a mystery, it's a blessing It's the greatest gift that keep us guessing So if you've found it, hold on tight Cherish it, nurture it, make it right This thing called love, it's r...

I Do

Image
The day has come to say "I do" To pledge a love that's pure and true An unbreakable bond we will make Our hearts as one, forever to take Two souls will now become one A journey that has just begun Hand in hand, we'll walk through life Together through joy and strife We'll share the joys, the ups and downs With love that forever surrounds Our love will be like a bright torch Guiding us through every stormy porch As we stand together today We know our love will never sway On this day, our new life starts A journey that's forever in our hearts So let's celebrate this love of ours With music, dance, and pretty flowers Forevermore we'll stay together Hand in hand, forever and ever.

I Don't Know How Much

Image
I don't know how much I don't know much about the world that we live in But I know that my love for you will never diminish I may not know the answers to life's great mysteries But I know that your love is the greatest of all victories I don't know much about what the future holds But I know that with you, my heart will never grow cold Time may pass and circumstances may change But my love for you will always remain I don't know much about the ways of love and romance But I know that with you, my heart is taking a chance You have brought me happiness that I never knew existed And I know that with you, my love will always persist I don't know much about what tomorrow may bring But I know that with you, my heart will always sing For in you I have found a love that's true and pure And I know that with you, I will always be secure So though I may not have all the answers to life's great mystery  I know that with you, my love will be a lasting legacy

My Dear One Gh. Cedi

Image
I remember you very well in 2007 So bright like one from heaven Glowing red among your colleagues. You might not be big in value But for my love for trotro and the bus, Your beautiful self I do cherish and value. With you I could buy many things. Gari, Bread, Ground nut and Tomato tins. With a couple of you Akonta will do my bidding And the rest of the family he'll be misleading But not anymore! My dear! Not anymore! They've thrown you away like the gold ore After your dedicated service and all  To them you've lost your value. And worn out  If only you could speak  Out! your frustration you'll leak  Hoping your services will be rewarded Like the heroes of old who were bald headed Just like you did for the big six. Your beautiful self I'll frame and hang in my room; As a thank you gesture, For leading me to green fields to pasture. Before they ruin you to your doom.  Until we meet again Thank you for honouring my youthful days Whilst in the sun trying to m...

No Longer at Ease

Image
Little by Little the fowl drink it's water I don't have it all but my hopes I do keep Hoping that some day into great fortune I'll leap Day and night presenting my petition before the alter One step at a time l work with all my might Giving all it takes in my prime Hoping the end of the tunnel will receive me with light But the more effort I put The more sweat I scoop From my forehead onto my boots My pity self, misery do not want to look I am no Longer at ease My hopes are being held in a leash Controlled by the powers that be Stinging me without mercy like a busy bee Oh! When shall I look forward to a relieve From this torment like one who's bereaved In Hard work and optimism I do believe But this seems never to be ending soon My aspirations seems to be shrouded to my doom  This isn't just right I Just want to be free and soar like a kite Free and without limitation Is this too much to ask Especially when the system is full of imitation May God grant me all the ...

Image
Nat and Pat, the dearest of friends Their bond so strong it never bends Two peas in a pod, they are always together Come rain or shine, they don't mind the  weather They met when they were just small In the playground, they stood tall Their giggles and laughter filled the air A friendship so pure, so rare Nat loves to sing, Pat loves to dance Their talents complement each other, it's  like a chance To always have someone to share with Their dreams, their fears, their every myth Nat and Pat, they grow up fast But their friendship forever lasts Through high school and college too Their love for each other always grew Now adults, they're still going strong Their friendship truly can't be wrong Nat and Pat, the dearest of friends Their bond so strong, it never ends.

Husband, 10 Unspoken Needs of Your Wife

Image
Husbands, if you’ve ever thought,  “I just can’t figure her out”  maybe this can be a launching pad to deeper conversations with your spouse. I remember watching "What Women Want" not long after its release in 2001. The  movie chronicles a man, Nick Marshall, who receives a fresh perspective on  women after a fluke accident. And by “fresh perspective,” I mean he has the  ability to read women’s minds. Sounds fascinating, right? I thought so too. Then I watched the movie. Don’t get me wrong, I laughed quite often. But I was also terrified. I left  the theater with one of those “I just saw a ghost” looks. Totally dazed and  confused. For like two hours, I vowed never to date a woman again. I would be  single the rest of my life, maybe become a monk or something. Singleness would  be easier than trying to figure out a woman. Fast forward 15 years. I’ve been married to an amazing woman for over 6 years,  we have two children, and our marriag...

Upon The Cross

Image
Upon the cross, our Savior bore The weight of sins we can't ignore He suffered wounds and shed His blood To save us all, the Lamb of God The crown of thorns upon His head His body beaten, torn, and bled He cried out "Father, forgive" As all of heaven seemed to grieve Betrayed and judged by selfish men Abandoned by His closest friends He bore it all with perfect grace Until His final breath released The earth grew dark, the veil was torn As heaven wept for all He'd borne The Son of God, the sacrifice Who paid the price and gave us life We take the bread, we drink the wine Remembering His love divine For in His death, our hope is found Our sins forgiven, our souls unbound Oh wondrous cross, oh precious blood Without His death, there is no love We praise You, Christ, our risen King Forevermore, our hearts will sing.
