Patience

Patience is a virtue, so they say

It’s a skill that we must learn along the way

It’s not an easy thing to do,

But with practice, we can make it through.

In times when we are filled with doubt

And we want things to happen right now,

We must remember to take it slow

And trust the process, as we go.

When we’re waiting for the sun to rise

Or for the rain to fall from the skies,

We must keep our composure,

And simply wait for nature’s closure.

It’s the calm that comes with waiting,

The grace that we find in delaying,

It’s the understanding that things take time,

And it’s a lesson that we must keep in mind.

So let us practice patience every day,

And trust that our efforts will pave the way,

For a brighter future, where we will see

The fruits of our labor, eventually.
